Performance Physical Therapy

Why Runners Need a Different Approach?

Have you ever been told to stop running, only to return later with the same pain—or worse? You’re not alone.

Most physical therapy ends too soon—discharging runners before they’re truly ready to return to training. That often leads to a frustrating cycle of time off, recurring injuries, and no clear path forward.

The truth is, most running injuries don’t require complete rest. As a runner, coach, and performance physical therapist, I understand what it really takes to get you back to running.

This isn’t just rehab. My goal is to help you find the right balance—so you can keep running safely while building strength, confidence, and long-term durability.

Together, we’ll create a plan that puts you back in control and gets you moving forward again

INITIAL EVALUATION

In-person or virtual evaluations include:

1. Discussion of injury, concerns, and goals

2. Movement, strength, and mobility assessment. May include gait analysis if appropriate

3. Plan of action to optimize healing and return to activity.
